Goddess

This abstract woman dates from 2006. She is an acrylic on canvas and is 20 x 32 inches. I don't really know why, but this style of drawing and painting seems to keep reoccurring in my work . To me, it is very natural. I just shut my mind and listen to the inner voice and let go. I think this has similarities to some of the early primitive cultures and how they created art.....Or I could just be koo koo for koko puffs.

before and after

Gothic 16 x 26 inches acrylic on canvas 2004
This is something that I rarely share. The original sketch from a sketchbook, and the final canvas, side by side. A before and after.....so to speak.

It is what it is

babapoosha 24 x 38 inches acrylic on canvas 2007

A painting from 2007 that I titled with a nonsense name, a made up word. The reason that I made up a word, was that I wanted the viewer to have no visual connection to anything except the experience of the piece of art. I enjoy the idea of abstract art that exists only because the artist imagined it without any outside reference. The painting then becomes a object that exists for itself. It truly is what it is.....

In front of the Mondrian

In front of the Mondrian 24 x 36 inches acrylic on canvas
A painting from 2004 of a girl standing in front of a print by the Bauhaus Artist Piet Mondrian. There is nothing better than a beautiful woman, and beautiful art together at the same time. I saw this lady at a party standing in front of this painting, and I knew this was a work of art. I came home and immediately began to paint this picture.

warm tender moments

Red wine 16 x 22 inches acrylic on canvas 2006
There is nothing like sharing a good wine and conversation with a special friend. My idea behind this painting was to invite the viewer to the table engaging in conversation with the beautiful model. She listens intently as you speak.
