This is the back door to my grandmothers house in Waynesburg Kentucky. I did this painting in the early 1990s from a photo that I had taken around 1979 or 1980. Today the house has been renovated, and is owned by my cousin. As for the the picture, it is a 16 x 20 inch oil painting owned by my sister.

Wahine and a Cool Cat
A new painting fresh off of the easel. This is 16 x 24 inches on stretched canvas. As you can tell, I am really into the whole Hawaiian fantasy theme right now. In fact I have another hula dancer in the works, and plan to show some progressive photos of the work in progress.

Pretty in pink
How about a pretty girl in some pink lingerie? This painting was done last year. It is heavily textured and full of buttery paint.

What to do with left over paint?
This is a mask that I have been slowly creating over time with piles of left over paint. I have been adding to this for a couple of years. It is pure acrylic paint. When I finish painting, I sometimes have little globs of paint left over so I just slap them on this face with a palette knife.

Mermaid Pier
I have always found this gift shop to be so cool. I love its character. Yesterday, I went on a photo expedition and took pictures of the interesting beach architecture and signs. The photo below was from 2003, and the one above was taken yesterday.
