We were at a party when I looked across the room and saw this amazing Latin beauty with a glass of red wine. I knew immediately she was going to be the subject of my next painting.

I enjoy the layering of color. Painting is a very physical act for me. I am literally wiping off as much as I put on and I rub the color down into the nooks and crannies of the heavy under paint. The results are always a bit of a fight, but when the battle is won, a beautiful object comes to life.

When I was painting this, I kept thinking about Wilma Flintstone and her huge pearl necklace. Actually I like the finished piece, the texture and the color all work well. So, there is nothing else to say but.............Yabba Dabba Doo!
