Island Music and Tiki

This tiki painting is inspired by 1960s travel brochures. I love the 1960s illustrators and the modern look they aspired to create. It took me forever to finish this one, it is very graphic and flat, so I had to painstakingly paint several careful coats over each area.....not to mention keep the lines fairly straight.

I know that Tikis don't come from the Caribbean, but the colors here are inspired by the Caribbean Island Style. So this whyI call this new guy, "Tropic Tiki.....I hope you enjoy, and pass me my Mai Tai.:)
