American Woman 16 x 24 inches acrylic on canvas 2013
A painting of a Native American girl in traditional dress. We met her at a pow wow in Bandera Texas. She was one of the traditional dancers. My wife and I spend a lot of time going to pow wows. If you have never experienced one, you owe it to yourself to attend at least one in your lifetime. The tradition, celebration, and the dance is a visual feast. Also you can purchase Native American crafts from vendors as well as food and drink. Be sure to try the fry bread tacos......yum :)
